Description for the 1/4”, 5/16’’, and 3/8’’ Steel Rod Hooks:               Snake hooks of this style are all made from galvanized steel rods in the following sizes 1/4’’, 5/16’’ and 3/8’’. The shaft and hook end are heat bent out of one single piece of rod. The reason for this is it provides great strength and reliability; you’ll never have to worry about the hook ends pulling out because there are no welds present, no bonding agent keeping the hook end joined to the shaft. They do however weigh slightly more than standard aluminum hooks, or golf club style hooks. Personally I feel a little extra weight is a fair trade off for extra strength and reliability, and I believe you will too!             The Handle is the second most important feature of any good snake hook. Let’s face it; if it doesn’t feel comfortable in your hand you are not going to want to use it. I’ve taken comfort on these handles to a whole new level. I hand fabricate each and every handle out of hardwood adding sleek, smooth lines and a top facing thumb hold grip; making these one of the most comfortable grips available. The second phase of the grip includes coating the grip with a non-slip; waterproof rubber coating. This coating adds to the comfort of the grip and gives you a secure hold even when your hands are wet. However when style is cherished these grips can also be done in a variety of colors with a long lasting high gloss enamel paint job. A normal single color handle is an 8-layer job; 5 layers of high gloss enamel paint and 3 layers of clear coat protection to stand the test of time.             Hook ends are variable depending on usage. I pride myself on being able to offer alternative styles that have worked for me depending on the situation. These styles can be very specific or broad depending on what is required of your hook. Hook ends can be coated in rubber for extra grip with the snake or a heat-treated PVC coating for a smooth finish in a variety of colors. All hooks come with a nylon protective cap for the tip to keep the coatings protected from excess drag on the tip.             Heat-treated PVC coating is another way to offer superior protection and style. With this option the shaft as well can be coated in a thick durable coating. It has a sleek, smooth finish and is available in many colors.
